Channing Bennett provides legal services, focusing on employment, civil rights, school and public entity law and general civil litigation. Mr. Bennett's litigation practice focuses on employment, wrongful termination, and civil rights litigation. In addition, he handles tort, contract and general civil litigation matters.
Mr. Bennett also provides training and advice on employment compliance, policy and disciplinary issues. As part of his employment and human resources consultation practice, he focuses on practical and economical employment solutions and litigation avoidance. Where litigation is required, Mr. Bennett represents public entities, including school districts, cities, counties and other municipal organizations; private corporations and individuals in both state and federal courts and administrative forums.
Mr. Bennett is a member of the Willamette Valley Inn of Court, the Oregon Bar Association, the Marion County Bar Association and the Multnomah County Bar Association. In addition to his practice, he lectures on employment law and is active in a number of charitable organizations. Mr. Bennett joined the firm in 2003, and became a shareholder in 2007.
